We at Nordorthopaedics believe that every patient should feel calm about the organization of their stay in our clinic. That is why we try to have everything planned in advance and make sure your orthopaedic surgery journey is as smooth as possible, however please note, that some changes may occur. Here is a brief overview of the surgery planning process and what you can expect during your visit in Lithuania.

Enquiry

  • First, you send your enquiry about the procedure of interest.
  • Our customer service representative contacts you, provides more information, pricing and requests for your X-Ray scan or MRI for surgeon’s initial assessment.
  • Should you have a consultant’s letter, send it to your customer service representative, it may be sufficient for evaluation.

  • You can join our Facebook group to get in touch with our previous and future patients and ask some practical questions regarding your surgery.
  • You can also see videos of our previous patients having surgeries with us and sharing their experience in media here.

Assessment

  • In 1-2 business days (or a bit more, depending on the present workload) you receive a response with surgeon’s recommendations and a price quote.
  • You are asked to fill in a brief medical questionnaire.
  • Once you are approved for the surgery, date selection process begins.

Preparation for a visit

  • You book accommodation and flights. We can help you choose the flights and book a hotel.
  • If you are following the EU directive route please fill in all the needed documentation.

The Airport

Arriving to Lithuania

  • You arrive to Lithuania at least three days before the surgery.  A member of our logistics team picks you up from the airport.

The Clinic

Consultation and testing

  • A member of our logistics team takes you to the clinic for the pre-surgery health tests and consultation with the surgeon.
  • You get to fill out and sign paperwork and make the payment after the consultation with the surgeon.

Checking-in

  • Afterwards you are taken to your accommodation by a member of our logistics team (in some cases, the check-in is arranged before your first visit to the clinic).

Surgery

  • The next day (in some cases after two days) you are taken to the clinic by a member of our logistics team.
  • You have the surgery and stay in the clinic for 1-2 nights depending on the surgery volume.
  • At the clinic you get 3 meals a day and round-the-clock nursing.

Rest

  •  After you are discharged from the clinic, the member of our logistics team takes you back to the accommodation.

Rehabilitation

  • 5-14 day rehabilitation in Lithuania is offered to most of our orthopaedic surgery. There are two rehabilitation options:
  1. Outpatient rehabilitation, when patient lives in a hotel and travels to the clinic for the physiotherapy sessions;
  2. Rehabilitation in SPA and wellness center, where the accommodation is offered.

  • Once you return back home, you are welcome to contact us by phone or email anytime.
